Over 2000 people showed up to paddle out for the Bight on the 3rd March 2019 at Victor Harbor...it one of a number of events around the country calling for Norwegian company Equinor to stay away from our coastline. This great shot was taken by Che Chorley.

Surf Art exhibition 2019
The Surf Art Exhibition marks the beginning of summer and has become one of the pivotal features of the annual program at the Arts Centre Port Noarlunga. Carving a place in the hearts and souls of the southern arts calendar, the Exhibition celebrates not only surfing culture, but our region’s history, stunning coastal environment and lifestyle.
In 2019, the annual Surf Art Exhibition is entitled Paddle Out.

The City of Onkaparinga’s annual Surf Art Exhibition is open to all Australian artists celebrating the ocean, the coastal environment, the culture and all things Surf.
This year we also invite artists to consider the exhibition theme, ‘Paddle Out’ and what this means.

FROTHING FRIDAYS AT THE VICTA CINEMA
Join Encounter Coast Surf Reserve and Victa Cinema as we screen our Frothing Friday’s Surf Film Sessions.
Frothing Fridays is a series of monthly surf film screenings taking place on the 3rd Friday of each month to celebrate 100 years since the first recorded surfing happened along our coastline in summer of 1924/25, aka the Century of Surfing!
Sourcing our films from the amazing GARAGE ENTERTAINMENT we are also showcasing shorts from local filmakers like BON ENGEL.
So far we have shown The ROAD TO PATAGONIA, THE GREATEST SURF MOVIE IN THE UNIVERSE and SHE IS THE OCEAN.
Coming up next in February is the all time favourite ENDLESS SUMMER celebrating it's
60th anniversary and remastered in glorious 4D and surround sound.
